ACLU: Donate for Police Accountability + Learn Your Rights

What is ACLU?

The American Civil Liberties Union is a nonprofit organization founded 1920.

“to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed to every person in this country by the Constitution and laws of the United States.”

As of 2018, card-carrying membership had grown from 400,00 to 1.84 million.

“The ACLU dares to create a more perfect union – beyond one person, party, or side. Our mission is to realize this promise of the United States Constitution for all and expand the reach of its guarantees.”

How will resources be allocated?

The ACLU uses money from online donations to provide legal assistance in cases when it considers civil liberties to be at risk.“We’re suing Minneapolis police for attacking journalists covering protests.”
